We are Playroll, building the infrastructure for a borderless economy where people can work and thrive from anywhere. We take the complexity out of managing a global workforce and bring it into one seamless platform. Through our platform, we provide employer of record, payroll, and benefits services that enable companies to hire and manage people in over 180 countries, without the usual operational, legal, or administrative friction. We're looking for a dynamic, driven engineer to join our engineering team. You'll be an integral part of building and scaling the platform that powers everything we do, helping us deliver one of our most important strategic goals: creating the system that runs global employment at scale.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deploy our apps and platform, ensuring adherence to the highest coding, design, and quality standards.
- Optimize test, release, and deployment processes in collaboration with QA and platform engineering teams.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into impactful technical solutions for users and clients.
- Mentor junior developers and actively contribute to strengthening and evolving our engineering culture.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and sharing opportunities to enhance processes, platform performance, and team culture.
What You'll Bring
- Experienced as a senior or mid-level full stack developer, you are passionate about software development and engineering.

- You consistently seek ways to improve products, processes and ways of working and continuously share what you learn with your team.
- Proficiency in our tech stack: Typescript, React, AWS Lambda, Postgres, CDK, Playwright. Don't worry if you aren't expert in every technology listed - we want to find a person who will be a great fit for and add to our team.
- You thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven, growth-centric environment.
- Comfortable with agentic development and embracing AI empowered engineering.
- Ability and confidence to challenge existing architecture, processes and ways of working and suggest improvements.
- Confident explaining ideas, solutions and achievements to technical and non-technical audiences, team members and stakeholders.
